    Allied Associates International is looking for a Lead Network Engineer to support a counterterrorism program in Chantilly, VA.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure IDSs/IPSs and firewalls are configured in support of network security policies.
    • Manage and perform network engineering functions to include conceptualization, design, implementation, and optimization of network and security systems.
    • Perform security gap analysis to enhance network security and maintain overall system resilience.
    • Manage team to ensure adherence to quality standards, providing mission critical support to maintain optimal network uptime and reviewing architectural deliverables.
    • Ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of network enterprise
    • Provide SME guidance in the operations of a network infrastructure across a wide range of network facilities, supporting physical media, protocol stacks, routers, bridges, gateways, switches, and related software and hardware, and network management components.

    Qualifications

    • Required Skills and Experience

      • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) certification, Cisco Certified Network Associate Security (CCNA Security) certification is required.
      • At least 5 years’ relevant experience as a lead network engineer supporting a complex DoD or Federal business environment/operations.

       

      • Experience developing infrastructure and operational requirements in all phases of the system development life cycle.
      • Experience in network and network security design and manages the network enterprise architecture.
      • Experience in engineering and architecting multiple-classification IT systems and services.
      • Experience in designing and deploying network hardware, systems, and software upgrades.
      • Experience developing configuration management processes that support provisioning, tracking, monitoring project related equipment.
      • Experience in engineering and managing the security of physical, virtual, and cloud networks.
      • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, including experience in presenting material to senior Government officials and communicating with other Government contractors.
      • Minimum Clearance Requirement: Secret Clearance

      Highly Desired Skills and Experience

      • A Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
      • BS Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
