  • Overview

    Allied Associates International is looking for a Systems Engineer to provide project leadership and system expertise. The Engineer will coordinate technical efforts of personnel working on tasks and recommend action based on customer needs. The Engineer will suggest potential improvements to the system. 



    • Isolate and resolve hardware and software problems involving the applications, the operating system, the hardware, the communications infrastructure, or any combination thereof
    • Troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
    • Execution of on-site, on the floor, technical and system administration support
    • Resolve a wide range of system issues, troubleshooting software, hardware, diagnosis of network issues, and addressing trouble tickets and service tasks across all tiered levels.
    • Develop and maintain automated operations to streamline and optimize environment for high availability and reliability
    • Conduct routine and emergency maintenance of assigned data center equipment
    • Collaborate and contribute to the development, administration, and testing of security, configuration management, backup and recovery plans
    • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
    • Manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems
    • Participates in special projects as required.
    • Systems administration of desktop and server systems connected to local and wide area networks. Desktop system management responsibilities involving account monitoring, security, Operating System (OS) installation, and other local area system administration related functions.
    • Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problem
    • Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc.




    Required Skills

    • Ability to create, modify and maintain scripts of multiple disciplines in Windows operating systems
    • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Windows operating systems, including: Windows 8, 8.1, 10, Server 2012, Server 2012 R2, Windows 2016
    • General knowledge of database administration, network administration and possess network configuration management skills.
    • Ability to lift or move various pieces of computer equipment, (max 40 pounds)
    • Experience with implementing Data Center High Availability and Disaster Recovery.
    • Deep knowledge of Active Directory, group policy management and administration
    • Experience architecting, implementing and managing a virtualized environment (e.g. VMWare, Hyper-V)


    Desired Skills

    • Experience with Cisco UCS
    • MCP, MCSE, or equivalent certification(s)
    • Active Security+ certification
    • Experience with Linux (CentOS, RedHat, as well as others)


    Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
